Fantastic place to take your dog for a walk. Large open fields and wide walking track along the top of the Tinakori ridge. There are amazing views at the top. Great place to walk if you don't have a dog too! There is a car park at the top of Weld Street but unfortunately no rubbish bins for poo bags. The track is steep in places but good for any fitness level.

Pros: Open spaces and views over Wellington harbour
Cons: Can get a bit windy
This is a great place to run your dog off the lead. I have been walking here for 4 years and never had a problem with other dogs. The tracks are wide and there are also grassy area if you want to throw a ball or stick. There are a lot of regulars and a bit of a walking community in the early hours of the morning. A few dog walking businesses use this walk too. On a sunny day it is fabulous and there are lots of tracks down off the ridge to Thorndon, Wilton or Northland. Can get a bit misty and windy but thats Wellington for you!
