Pros: Durable, breathable, big enough for more than one dog
Cons: It is big, and requires more floor space than you might think
We have wasted $100's on dog beds. They generally got shredded quickly or end up smelling so badly they need to be biffed.
The Kra-mar bed looks the same as it did 2 years ago when we bought it. It has a super sturdy metal fame which even our two monsters couldn't chew through. The frame elevates the bed slightly for good air circulation, and to keep the dogs off the carpet.
Its mesh cover is breathable so it doesn't smell. It can be hosed down if you need to give it a good clean.
We throw an old towel on top of it to make it more comfy, but sometimes our dogs happily lie on the mesh.
Only criticism is it takes up a fair amount of floor space (we do have a large one) and now that we only have one dog it is unnecessarily large.
We went through about 4 or 5 other dog bed alternatives - spending $300+ in the process - none of which lasted more than a month or two. I would highly recommend these raised beds for indoor or outdoor use.
