Pros: no cars, beautiful nature, water areas, New Zealand at its best, off-leash
Cons: none
The Gums Loop Track is a beautiful walk for Dogs and Owners. You walk in a loop through a huge gum forest and along some beautiful water water features. It is even quite nice to do on a wet day as there is lots of shelter under the native bush. Dogs can run off-leash and our Beagle especially loves all the nature smells! The walk is also good if you have a pushchair / wheelchair and young or elderly members of family.

Pros: Open areas to run, away from housing and road, swimming hole
Cons: A swampy area to make your pups all mucky
Loved this walk, took my two spaniels and they had a ball. They got mucky in a swamp area but then washed themselves off in the creek on the way home. You feel like you are in a remote area - so peaceful and lots of fun for the animals.
