Leaving a pet at a boarding facility can be an incredibly stressful time for both pet and owner, and it was trying to find a kennel I trusted, that set the idea for DogMog in motion.
Now I am usually quite an organised person but sometimes things just don't go the way you plan, and I had to find a kennel at reasonably short notice. I had a friend recommend a kennel to me, but they were booked out (as the good ones so often are) and so I was forced to just pick randomly from the phone book.
Luckily everything went fine, but I worried unnecessarily during my time away (doesn't make for the the most relaxing holiday) and this led me to wonder if other people also felt worried and unsure about the decisions they were making for their pets.
After a lot of research I found that pet owners needed and wanted more information when choosing services and products for their pets, and in the absence of referrals from friends and family they had no reliable or trusted place to turn to.
One of the core drivers behind DogMog is to give pet owners the opportunity to tell others about their experiences. Not only will this help give pet owners confidence in the decisions they make for their pets, it will assist businesses to understand more about their customer’s needs and improve their services accordingly.
DogMog’s vision is to be the most trusted pet community website in NZ. That is, to be trusted by pet owners and by pet-related businesses alike.
The businesses, products and parks & walks on DogMog are rated by people just like you - people who care for, love and want the best for their pets. So, learn from their experiences and tell others about yours, and help make DogMog New Zealand’s most trusted pet website.
